College football national championship playoff is tonight. I'm believing Indiana is going to win. Why would I think that about a college who has been known for its excellent basketball teams through the decades? Because I know all balls are not round and the leadership can make a difference.

After the game tonight, assuming Indiana wins, or whether they do or not, I want to encourage you to listen to this podcast by Don Miller and I think you will get some great insights on what it takes to turn the culture of an organization around, which is exactly what the current coach for Indiana has done. It's a great lesson and leader leadership, regardless of who wins

A humble thank you to the ICCFA for allowing me the privilege to address at the nation's largest Sales events in on per-need sales, held in Las Vegas this past week. Modeled after TED Talk format this event segment presentations.

I focused on the difference between being a sales manager verses a sales leader. I did my best to make the case for being an effey sales leader.

Then, I shared my view of what effective leaders do. They, "Define expectations, Design an accountability system, and to Deliver results."

I closed by sharing my belief that the role of a sales leader is to, "Build the people, that will build the business."

Here’s the truth: every company has a culture. Whether you’ve built it intentionally—or it’s just happened—there’s a culture in place. Your company’s culture is created either by design or default. When a company clearly defines its values and beliefs, it sets the standard for what behaviors are expected. Values guide decisions, shape interactions, and unify teams around a shared purpose. Culture is always at work, even when you can’t see it. Because in the end, culture is an invisible force, only seen in behavior.

Discover how corporate culture—intentional or not—can drive your company’s success or failure & why leaders must actively shape it every day

Much of the consulting I do these days centers around corporate culture — specifically, helping business owners and leaders actively design their culture. In doing so we often have to help them define their mission, beliefs and values. This process allows the leaders to explain why they exist as a company and how adhering to their defined beliefs and values is designed to influence their behaviors — allowing them to accomplish their mission. Guess what's the first question most leaders have about this process?

A fundamental truth about corporate culture is that that every organization has one, and it's either driven and nurtured by design or evolved by default.

This article is a follow-up to the story I shared last week about a fellow who received the wrong size shoes from an online retailer and how that story had a happy ending. In today's article I'll tell you about the Q&A session I attended with executives at that organization and how they design their corporate culture to maximize favorable outcomes.

How executives at an online retailer maximize customer satisfaction by empowering customer service representatives to make management-level decisions.
