Rare for me to be alone. Rare for me to eat alone. I am usually surrounded by friends, my beloved team, my family, the churning masses… Thankful for some time to rest and rest - reset. Dinner alone at a 120 year old bar (same historic bar top and back), eating a famous 120 year old salad (conceptually, not literally), after a cigar rolled today. Today, I was thinking about the most important things I could possibly be doing while at a traffic light and here is the immediate response that stepped out of the fog instantly for me:

1) Reach out to your old friends and help them, listen to them, and elevate them with all your heart.

2) Show great bravery in everything you do. Courage will accomplish a lot of the hard part.

3) Everything you want will only be gained by paying attention to everything you believe is below you, behind you, and in the shadow.

4) You do not have time for the lunch you desire so drink more coffee.

10 Years ago today, I skipped class with my class and we went to Wekiwa Springs State Park in Central Florida. I had the most wonderful few years working for the amazing Christine Marie Ortiz and a team of equally amazing teachers and administrators. I will always be so thankful of that time because if have me the ability to build IDEAS For Us up and to give it the time to achieve and grow. In this phase of life, I was calling IDEAS my 9-5... meaning my 9PM - 5AM and I wasn't kidding at all.

TWENTY YEARS AGO TODAY, was my first day of school at Rollins College, my dear sweet Alma Mater and TWELVE YEARS AND ONE DAY AGO TODAY, they bestowed me with a wonderful honor of being named a “Young Alum of Significant Distinction” and winner of the “Young Alum Achievement Award”.

This award means a lot to me because I was nominated by my fellow students and professors! Time does certainly fly.
