While alienated children typically describe hatred or fear of the Alienated Parent, gently probing into the nuances of these negative feelings virtually always reveals that these children believe that the Alienated Parent is self-centered, not interested in their wellbeing, and unloving. They are taught, and come to believe that they are not loved by that parent. This is absolutely child abuse in its most pure form.

There is a very significant distinction between the role of a therapist & the role of an evaluator in child custody cases involving Parental Alienation, and they are as different as night and day. It is surprising that very often, Family Law Judges are not aware of this, and therefore issue unclear and ambiguous orders.

A big focus of my work within the last few years has been that of Parental Alienation education. I have found that most parents learn of the minefields and trip wires of Parental Alienation only after they have been stumbled upon and have exploded.
My goal is to educate those parents who find themselves in these situations by giving them specific tools and ways of thinking about the "system" that forearms them, and gives them a far better chance of hatching a more reasonable and happy outcome for themselves and their family.
It is within this spirit that I wish to draw attention to the various Parental Alienation audio courses and informational papers found in my library. While a good amount of this information is offered without charge, some items are for purchase.

Without a child’s own contribution towards a campaign of denigration, the child is not truly alienated, and with it the indoctrinating parent can “sit back” and let the child be the voice of criticism of the Target Parent. This second component, its expression from the child, is what makes it so baffling and intimidating to those trying to help.
