At Maine Business Consulting Services, we believe great consulting starts with people who lead with both heart and strategy and Norma is exactly that.

Norma brings a powerful combination of academic achievement and real-world ownership experience to everything she does. As a co-owner and President of Buen Apetito Mexican Grill in Waterville, which she helped acquire and grow, she knows firsthand what it takes to build a business, lead a team, and keep a community coming back.

At MBCS, Norma puts that experience to work for our clients. With a Bachelor’s in Communications & Leadership and a minor in Project Management, she helps businesses stay organized, visible, and ready for growth. Whether it’s developing a marketing strategy, strengthening a brand, navigating community engagement, or managing the moving parts of a long-term plan, Norma brings clarity and purpose to every step.

At Maine Business Consulting Services, we believe great consulting starts with people who’ve actually done the work and Shawn brings that in spades.

Shawn is a biomedical engineer, MBA holder, and lifelong problem-solver rooted right here in Maine. His background spans engineering, mathematics, and business strategy a rare combination that lets him see challenges from every angle, whether it’s helping a small business build its first growth plan or navigating the complexities of government contracting.

When Shawn isn’t working with clients, he’s pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at UMaine, leading Acadia Engineering & Research his engineering firm and co-owning Buen Apetito Mexican Grill in Waterville alongside his wife and business partner, Norma.

He co-founded MBCS because he believes Maine businesses deserve the same caliber of strategic support that big-city firms offer without losing the personal touch that makes our communities special.
