Happy International Sauvignon Blanc Day! Welcome in spring with this zesty and aromatic grape, featured in our Rain Shadow white wine. Our 2024 vintage of Rain Shadow is a blend of 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Semillon. Attention Bellingham area friends! Lost River Winery will be at the upcoming Downtown Bellingham Spring Wine Walk, next Friday, May 8th! We will be pouring at Hela Provisions at 1305 Cornwall Ave - come and say hi!

Stroll through 20+ Downtown shops from 5:30-9 PM as they transform into pop-up tasting rooms featuring a variety of regional wines. Attendees receive tasting tickets to sample their favorites while retailers offer exclusive deals. NEW to 2026 - the Port of Bellingham is sponsoring a seaside DJ after party at the Central Pier next to the Granary building to carry on the Wine Walk fun into the evening! All proceeds support the Downtown Bellingham Partnership, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

Meet the Lost River Winery team! This week's team member spotlight is Riley Fink, our Assistant Wine Maker! Riley has been with Lost River Winery for five years, and is part of the wine production team that creates our delicious wines! While he had trouble picking just one favorite Lost River wine, the '22 Massif Malbec is up there! One of his favorite Winthrop activities is hitting the river with family and friends, whether floating or just enjoying the river bank. If you get the chance to tour our Horizon Flat production facility, you'll get to see Riley in action!

This week's team member spotlight is Kirsten, our Tasting Room Associate -- Kirsten has been at Lost River Winery since 2025 and she is a familiar face to many in the valley! Her current favorite Lost River Wine is the Cabernet Sauvignon, though she may change her mind come summer ;) Her favorite thing about Winthrop is the nature and living in the foothills of the mountains. Join Lost River Winery next Saturday, April 11th, at the Kent Wine Walk! Kent Wine Walk is a curated tasting tour through Historic downtown Kent, featuring boutique wineries. Local shops, galleries, and salons become wine tasting destinations each featuring a different selection to sample as you stroll and enjoy live music!
