Summer wouldn't be summer without the Moeller BBQ!

Recently our team gathered for our Summer BBQ, taking a rare break from the shop floor to share a meal, swap stories, and recognize the people who make Moeller what it is. Behind every airfoil, every complex component, and every Click-Loc component we ship is a team of operators, engineers, machinists, and support staff working together to hit tolerances that don't allow for second chances.

Our summer BBQ is one of the ways we say thank you.

Here's to the rest of summer, and to the team that makes Moeller, Moeller.

Today is National Aviation Day, marking Orville Wright's birthday and 123 years since the dawn of powered flight in 1903.

In just over a century, aviation has gone from a 12-second hop at Kitty Hawk to passenger aircraft connecting every corner of the globe, military platforms reshaping defense capabilities, and lunar missions putting humans back on the path to deep space. Each step forward has rested on a chain of engineering decisions and the people who built the components that made them possible.

At Moeller Aerospace, we're proud to be one link in that chain. Every airfoil, every complex component, every part we machine carries forward the same spirit that lifted the Wright Flyer off the sand at Kitty Hawk: build something better, prove it can fly, then build the next one.

Happy National Aviation Day.

Cheering on our local U13 team from the Indian River Soccer Association.

Moeller Aerospace has been proud to sponsor a team with the Indian River Soccer Association for three seasons now. This year's squad is made up of 17 players ages 10 to 12 from Indian River, Alanson, Cheboygan, Petoskey, and the surrounding communities. They'll play 13 games this season, coached by our very own Andrei Balauca, whose son is out there on the field with them.

Supporting youth sports in the communities around our Harbor Springs facility isn't just something we do; it's part of who we are. Backing programs like this one is how we help make sure the kids growing up here have the same opportunities to play, compete, and grow that generations before them did.

Go get 'em, team!

Moeller Aerospace was proud to sponsor this year's golf outing at Lake Erie Metropark Golf Course, an event that helps fund the Trenton Blades' upcoming season. A team of Moeller employees came out to play, meet the families behind the team, and support a youth hockey program that's building the next generation of athletes right here in Michigan.

Supporting our community is one of the ways we say thank you for being part of ours.

Some metals don't want to be machined.

Titanium aluminide is one of them. It's stronger and lighter than the nickel-based alloys traditionally used in jet engines, with excellent resistance to oxidation at high temperatures. That makes it the material of choice for the turbine blades helping next-generation engines run lighter, cleaner, and more fuel-efficient. But the same properties that make it perform so well also make it incredibly difficult to cut, grind, drill, and finish.

Moeller has been machining titanium aluminide since 2007. Today we've delivered more than 125,000 TiAl blades across 14 different part numbers, with our work considered a prime machining source for the industry. Milling, turning, grinding, drilling, EDM, polishing: we've spent thousands of hours of engineering and machine time perfecting every one of those operations on this exotic alloy.

When the material is this demanding, experience compounds. That's how we got to where we are today.

What does Click-Loc actually do?

Click-Loc is a secondary self-locking technology engineered for the parts of an aircraft, engine, or industrial system where things absolutely cannot come loose. Think turbine engines, defense platforms, and high-vibration industrial environments where a failed fastener can mean a failed mission.

A primary locking method like a lock-wire or self-locking nut gets you most of the way there. Click-Loc adds a second, independent layer of locking that resists vibration, thermal cycling, and the stress of repeated operation. The result is total reliability when failure isn't an option.

The Click-Loc product family includes:
• Self-locking fluid fittings
• Self-locking fasteners
• Self-locking borescope plugs

Each one is custom-designed for the application. Our engineering team works with you to develop a Click-Loc solution that fits your specific operating environment, geometry, and performance requirements.

Quality. Reliability. Maintainability.

Happy National Intern Day to our incredible Summer 2026 interns!

Ten interns joined Moeller Aerospace this summer across our Harbor Springs & Wixom, Michigan facilities. Over the past several weeks, they've spent time on the shop floor, in the metrology lab, in front of CNC machines, and at engineering workstations, learning what it takes to build precision components for the world's most demanding aerospace and industrial applications.

To Luke, Michael, Ethan, Jeremiah, Grant, Madison, Brendan, Dakota, Luisa, and Allison: Thank you for the energy, the questions, and the fresh perspective you've brought to our teams. The future of precision manufacturing is in good hands.

Farnborough is here!

The Farnborough International Airshow is July 20 - July 24 in the UK, and the 2026 edition is the largest in the show's 78-year history. Conversations on the floor are covering the topics shaping our industry: next-generation propulsion, supply chain resilience, advanced manufacturing for AI-enabled aircraft, and the workforce that will build it all.

Click-Loc is here in Hall 3, Booth 3730, with our international sales representatives Fastavia, VTR, and Applied Fasteners & Tooling. If you want to talk secondary retention, self-locking technology, and the fasteners that perform in mission-critical environments, stop by!

Don't miss our drinks reception on Tuesday at 1:30pm!

Hats off to the Astro at Baylor Rocketry team, who just wrapped a hard-fought week at the International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC). Moeller Aerospace is proud to sponsor their two-stage rocket, "Indy and Belle," this year.

The week at competition tested everything. Ground testing issues, three days of weather holds, and a final-day launch where the booster motor hardware failed at liftoff, likely due to a manufacturing defect. From the ground it looked like a CATO (Catastrophe at Take Off). The data told a different story: the sustainer came through fully intact, and the onboard flight computer correctly held the ignition lockout because the vehicle's tilt and altitude were outside the staging envelope. The safety logic worked exactly as designed.

Despite all of it, the team finished on the podium in the Two-Stage 30K COTS category.

This is what engineering looks like. Things go wrong. You learn from the data and come back with something better. We're already looking forward to Indy & Belle 2 next year.

Congratulations, Astro at Baylor Rocketry on a your tenacity, diligence, and dedication to innovation!

On this Independence Day, we celebrate the freedoms that have always rested on American ingenuity, hard work, and the people who build things that matter.

From the Wright brothers' first flight to the engines powering the Artemis missions, American aerospace has been a story of pushing boundaries. We're proud to play a part in that legacy, manufacturing precision components in Michigan that fly on commercial aircraft, defense platforms, and human spaceflight missions.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July from the team at Moeller Aerospace.
