Invest in your future! Learn to diagnose and repair all types of major household appliances, such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens. We have 30+ years of experience in the field. We will teach you and upon completion of training (typically after six months), earn a starting wage of $18/hour with Moonglow Appliance Repair.
Perks? A quality work van with gas and maintenance supplied and one-week paid vacation after one-year full-time employment (increasing yearly). Review for performance-based raise after six months on your own. Employment upon completion of training, full-time.
Appliance Technician Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong work ethic, good communication skills, honest
• Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Computer/smartphone-literate for parts inquiries and ordering
• Flexible schedule, ability to work overtime
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Mechanical aptitude and background with a can do attitude
• A personal tool kit and meters for testing
Appliance Technician Responsibilities
• Interact courteously with customers; instruct on proper appliance use
• Troubleshoot problems with washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, microwaves and garbage disposals
• Dismantle appliances to make a diagnosis
• Read a wiring diagram, conduct circuit tests
• Repair and/or replace any defective components and reassemble appliances
• Respond to all complaints in a friendly and professional manner
• Connect water and gas lines, check for leaks once appliance is installed
• Maintain appointment schedule, inventory control, prepare and document estimates, collect payment
• Maintain truck stock inventory within company guidelines and standards
• Follow truck maintenance schedule and keep a clean, organized truck
• Meet key performance metrics/productivity goals
• Look for ways to improve business performance and enhance the customer experience
