📅 Today may be a tax deadline… but in CAS, every day is deadline day!

While tax teams are wrapping up extensions, filings, and those final “one more thing” requests, Client Accounting Services is already looking ahead to the next deadline. 😉

💻 Bills need to be processed.
💰 Payments need to be approved.
📊 Bank accounts need to be reconciled.
🧾 Invoices need to go out.
📥 Documents need to be collected.
📈 Financial reports need to be accurate and on time.

And just when you think you’ve made it through the week… someone asks, “Can you get this done today?” 😂

That’s the reality of CAS: there isn’t really an “off-season.” Our deadlines may look different from tax deadlines, but the expectation is the same—keep the financial side of the business moving.

So today, we’re cheering on our tax colleagues as they cross another big deadline off the calendar. 👏

And tomorrow?

Back to business. Because in CAS… every day is deadline day.

California Businesses: It’s 571-L Season — Are You Ready?

If you own or lease tangible personal property in California, it’s that time again — the Business Property Statement (Form 571-L) is due!

Many business owners overlook this important filing, but counties use the 571-L to assess business personal property taxes on items like machinery, equipment, computers, and even backhoes (yes, those count too).

Key tips:
• File by May 7 to avoid penalties.
• Double-check your Schedules A1, A2, A3 — correct classification matters.
• Leased, rented, or fully depreciated assets may still be taxable.
• Talk to your CPA or property tax advisor to make sure you’re covered.

Compliance might feel like a formality, but it can have real financial consequences if skipped or misfiled. Don’t let this fly under the radar!
