Delta Consulting Group was proud to take part in the 2026 Conferencia CDCI, with Óscar Martinez Lamigueiro, Luca Straniero, Gema González Adrover, Juan María Martínez López-Tola and Iago Rodríguez Romero joining construction, infrastructure and legal professionals from across the industry for two days of discussion and connection.

We were also pleased to sponsor the conference’s Welcome Cocktail Reception at Boral Torcuato Restaurant, a great way to kick off the event and connect with colleagues from across the industry.

As part of the program, Oscar joined Juan Miguel Lazcano of Ferrovial, Roger Cook of CAF and Gabriel Mulero of Howard Kennedy for a timely discussion on geopolitical risk and contractual equilibrium. The panel explored how contracts and market practices are responding to geopolitical pressures, from force majeure and changes in law to price adjustments, inflation, suspension, termination and renegotiation.

“What would you do?”

That was the question put to the panel at the GAR Live: Civil Law Summit in Madrid last week. Dr Dora Grunwald joined leading arbitration practitioners for an interactive discussion built around real-world scenarios.

The session explored the procedural, strategic and ethical challenges that can arise in arbitration, with panelists comparing perspectives and debating how they would approach difficult situations in practice. Audience input helped drive the conversation along the way.

We were also glad to have a strong Delta delegation in Madrid to support Dora and attend the Delta-sponsored All Conference Dinner. It was great to connect with colleagues from across the international arbitration community.
