Did you know we’re currently building not one, but two brand new duplexes?

This second build is another exciting milestone for APD as we continue expanding our work as a general contractor. From the initial excavation all the way to the final sale, we’re overseeing every phase of the project and making sure each step is done the right way.

As always, APD is handling the insulation, drywall, and paint in-house, while the remaining trades are being completed by trusted subcontractors we’ve built strong relationships with over the last 13 years in business. That level of coordination, communication, and experience is what helps keep projects like this moving forward smoothly.

Taking a look back at one of the bathroom upgrades we completed at IKEA in Portland. This project involves three restroom remodels, and we recently wrapped up work on the first one.

APD’s scope on this job included metal framing, drywall, ACT ceiling installation, hollow metal frame and door installs, bathroom accessory installation, as well as prime and paint. Projects like this require careful coordination and a high level of attention to detail, especially in a busy commercial environment like IKEA where durability and functionality are key.

Our team relied on years of experience to handle the complexity of the work and deliver a clean, professional result. It’s always rewarding to see a challenging project come together and create a space that looks great and performs the way it should. Looking forward to continuing progress on the next bathrooms.

Progress continues on the APD Duplex build and things are really starting to come together. The flooring has now gone in, and the space is beginning to feel like a finished home rather than just a construction site.

Next up, our team is moving into the painting phase. We’ll be working on both the interior and exterior finishes to bring the project one step closer to completion.
