This week we paused, and celebrated FIVE years since Jana Hancock joined Ironworks š We already said all of the mushy gushy stuff privately, and for those of you who have worked with her I am sure you can only imagine the pride and gratitude that was expressed for who she is and how she shows up for us and our clients š
But a few other things popped up that were very cool as we celebrated that I wanted to share:
1 - The reflection on virtual culture. If you do that math - because I know you can š - we hired Jana before the pandemic and before virtual teams and business really hit a peak. She was hired without ever having met in person, and we still to this day only see each other live *maybe* a few times per year. And yet, we have a deep love and respect for one another and are unified by the impact we are meant to have as we grow this business. Each one of these people have commented about our strong culture at some point - and we never have and never will have physical office space we meet in. So, we believe even more today that it is possible to create great culture in whatever environment you like if you are simply intentional about it.
2 - A favorite quote āa reason, a season, or a lifetimeā came to mind as these amazing humans - past and present Ironworks family - came together to celebrate this milestone. Each person crossed our path for a reason and a season, but it was incredibly humbling and heart warming to know that there was a connection and bond built for a lifetime even as they pursue the next steps in the paths they are each meant to be on.
Happy anniversary to our rockstar Jana, and thank you to our IW family for taking time to surprise her and make it special!
