Can Security Arrest People in California? 🤔
In the state of California, private security personnel operate under the same authority as private citizens. While we do not have the same arrest powers as law enforcement, we are legally authorized to detain individuals for crimes committed in our presence—such as trespassing, theft, or disturbances—until police arrive.
Our personnel are trained to Observe, Deter, and Report, while staying within California law at all times. We go beyond the basics to ensure we are prepared for real-world situations, including:
De-escalation & Conflict Management:
Handling high-pressure situations professionally.
Legal Awareness & Use of Force:
Acting within the law and using only reasonable force when necessary.
Tactical Readiness:
Maintaining visibility, presence, and control on site.
We are more than just a “guard service.”
We focus on prevention, professionalism, and protecting people and property the right way.
