IS THIS THE BEST HOT DOG IN WOODLAND HILLS?

We would not expect to find a perhaps the best tasting hot dog in the Woodland Hills area being sold from a stand in front of Home Depot. (Technically, it's in West Hills — the Victory Boulevard location.)

The first time we ordered a hotdog here, we hadn't eaten all day and simply needed sustenance to continue our shopping adventures.

The second time? We actually were happy that we had to go back to Home Depot, because we could get another of those hot dogs.

The second was as good as the first.

We suspect the "secret" is:

1. The way the hot dogs are cooked.

2. The owner's honest concern when he asks a customer, "How is it?" Just the way you probably ask a dinner guest in your home when they've just tasted your food.

3. The obvious pride you see on the owner's face when the response is, "Delicious!"
