An applicant sent this diploma after Rutgers said there was no record of him ever attending their school.

Mistakes on the fake diploma:
-missing language and added language
-the major is listed, not listed on real diplomas.
-not the real seal
-random signatures, not the real Dean and not the real President

“Diploma Mills” which are actual companies that make fake diplomas,
will not reproduce real people’s signatures or the names of real school administrators.

They will also not use the real seal of the school. It will be slightly different.
If they did, it would be considered copyright infringement.

Recently, DataScreening has successfully completed the 3-year interim surveillance audit, a requirement of the Background Screening Organization Accreditation Program.

An Accreditation from the PBSA, Professional Background Screening Association, is the top standard in the industry. You should check with your screening provider to see if they are Accredited.

Education, Compliance, and Support are your most valued indicators in accessing a good background screening provider.

What is your process like? How do you determine what background check company you will use? One factor should be ACCREDITATION.

Do you check out applicants' social media before you hire them?

Most hiring mangers do. Seems like a good idea, BUT that is considered part of a background check and FCRA guidelines must still be taken into effect. Using a 3rd party company will help keep you compliant.

Below is an emailed that was cut and pasted from a client. If YOU can't say these words about YOUR vendor, something's wrong.

"Thank you again for your time this afternoon. I just wanted to reiterate in writing what a fantastic team you have. So customer service focused and absolutely refreshing to work with people who get back to you when you call, care about the follow up and also the professionalism.
