Hearing noises in your attic? Chances are those sounds are mice, not ghosts.

Mice are incredible little climbers and can easily scale the exterior of a home to reach small openings along the roofline. Once they find a gap, they only need an opening about the size of a dime to squeeze inside.

If you’re hearing scratching, scurrying, or movement above your ceiling, especially at night, mice may be using roof vents, soffits, siding gaps, or other roofline openings to get into your attic.

Finding and sealing those entry points is just as important as removing the mice already inside.

Sorry we haven’t posted much lately! We’ve been busy in the field, and filming doesn’t always make the priority list.

This job was from May. I never posted it because I didn’t capture the repairs, damage, or removal of mom, but these four little guys were still worth sharing.

We’re not a wildlife rescue organization. We’re a professional wildlife removal company, and we believe the job can be done professionally while still treating wildlife responsibly. These four were safely removed and transferred to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for care.

Sometimes the best parts of the job are the ones we almost forget to post.

Our D&K family is heartbroken.

Our co-owner, David, and his family recently experienced the unimaginable loss of their beautiful niece. No parent should ever have to endure the pain of losing a child.

Protecting solar panels isn’t just about keeping squirrels out. It’s about doing the job right the first time.

On today’s job, we installed Solar Guard after squirrels nested beneath these panels and chewed through the wiring, causing expensive damage. Once the solar company completed the repairs, we installed expanded steel Solar Guard to keep wildlife from getting back underneath.

Birds nesting in bathroom exhaust vents are more than just a nuisance. Blocked vents can reduce airflow, create odors, introduce parasites and nesting material into the home, and may even become a fire hazard if the vent can’t properly exhaust moisture.

On this job, we safely removed the nesting birds, cleaned the vent, and installed a professional vent guard to help prevent future nesting while allowing the vent to function as intended.

If you’re hearing chirping in your walls or bathroom fan, don’t ignore it. Addressing the problem early is almost always simpler and less costly than waiting until the vent becomes completely blocked.

Bird Removal from an Exhaust Vent

This exhaust vent was being used as a nesting site by a family of birds. The nestlings were safely removed and placed into a reunion box mounted nearby, allowing the parent birds to continue feeding and caring for them in a secure location.

Once the birds were removed, the vent was immediately sealed to prevent re-entry and eliminate the risk of future nesting in the exhaust system.

After the young birds fledge and leave the box on their own, the reunion box can be removed.
