The 2022 La Vida Bella Chardonnay carries a story worth knowing.

Late frost. A record-breaking ten-day heat event over Labor Day. One of the most compressed harvests in forty years on this ridge. Nathan and the team worked fast, and the wine shows it. More concentrated, more forward, and drinking beautifully right now.

It's an unusual chapter for this vineyard, but looking back, it made a fantastic wine.

It's officially bird season. Nets are going up on Windy Hill and summer means the birds have figured out the fruit is getting sweeter, so the crew is getting ahead of it.

Just a few hours of work to protect these acres of Pinot Noir. The mountain has its own ecosystem, and it's our job to know how to work around it.
