It is a privilege to be a leader.. you can’t lead people when you have no control over yourself. Your employees come first without them you don’t have a business or an agency.
The very worst employee is a reflection of you.. when you fail your employees you fail to be a leader.
If you are putting them in crisis they don’t perform.. when you are present and leading you are teaching.. not to outshine you but to grow, to be better than they were which makes you and your company better.
If you are putting them in crisis, it is a reflection of your inability to lead .. it’s toxic behavior.
It’s like wearing a bunch of different hats.. mediator, teacher, parent and yes sometimes friend.
Employees leave because they are tired .. they need support through the peaks and valleys of a company.
You can’t expect your employees to accept toxic behavior you wouldn’t accept from a boss.
If you expect to get paid, pay your employees.
If you expect them to grow .. support that.
If you expect them to stay, give them reasons to.
If you expect them to take responsibility for their behavior, take responsibility for yours.
If you expect respect, treat them with respect.
The most toxic thing in a company should not be the leadership.
