Joshua Ott was in law enforcement for over 11 years. He began his law enforcement career with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff. While employed there, he was assigned to the Adult Detention Center. Joshua Ott was an officer with the Roswell, Georgia Police Department for nearly 11 years. s assigned to the DUI Task Force for three years. He was the Field Training Officer of officers newly assigned to the DUI Task Force and also new Roswell Police Department Recruits. Joshua Ott was certified as a Drug Recognition Expert and a Drug Recognition Expert Instructor. He is also a Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor. He has taught numerous classes to police officers, and solicitors. He has also taught four classes to college students at North Georgia College and State University about the effects of alcohol and drugs on the human body. He was responsible for the arrest of over (1700) impaired drivers. Joshua Ott has attended The Robert F. Borkenstein Course on Alcohol and Highway Safety: Testing, Research and Litigation course at Indiana University. He also attended the Robert Borkenstein Course: Effects of Drugs on Human Performance and Behavior. He was also a member of the Traffic Enforcement Unit. The unit enforces traffic laws along with investigating serious injury, fatality, and accidents involving city vehicles. Joshua Ott has completed On Scene Accident Investigation Levels 1 and 2, Traffic Accident Reconstruction Levels 1 through 5, Motorcycle Crash Investigations, Pedestrian Crash Investigations, and Human Factors in Traffic Crash Reconstruction. Joshua Ott now provides case analysis and expert Testimony in DUI cases and other cases involving alcohol and drug impairment. He also does accident reconstruction.
