Opportunity awaits at Halbach Cattle!

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Show Barn Manager to assist with the
daily operations of our show cattle program. This position is hands-on and focused on cattle
care, sale and show preparation, and overall barn management. The ideal candidate is detail-
oriented, works well independently, and takes pride in cattle presentation and herd health.

Key Responsibilities include:
💥Daily Care💥
● Halter breaking and daily handling of show and sale cattle
● Washing, rinsing, blowing, and clipping
● Daily observation of cattle condition, health and behavior

💥Show Barn Operations💥
● Maintain a clean, organized, and professional barn environment
● Lead and assist with daily routines and schedules
● Schedule and oversee part-time barn help
● Ensure cattle are properly prepared for daily care and upcoming shows

💥Herd Health💥
● Observe cattle daily for health or behavior changes
● Administer treatments as directed
● Assist with vaccination and herd health protocols
● Maintain accurate health and treatment records

💥Records and Data Management💥
● Record weights, treatments, feeding notes, and progress reports
● Maintain accurate and organized cattle records

💥Show Preparation and Travel💥
● Assist with clipping and fitting cattle for shows
● Help prepare cattle for travel and exhibition
● Preferred: Ability to clip and take cattle to a show independently, including daily care
and basic troubleshooting

Qualifications Required
● Experience working with cattle (show cattle experience preferred)
● Comfortable handling cattle safely and confidently
● Strong work ethic and attention to detail
● Ability to work independently and follow established protocols
● Reliable, organized, and punctual

Preferred Qualifications
● Clipping and fitting experience
● Previous show barn or livestock management experience
● Ability to coordinate or supervise part-time help
● Willingness to travel for shows
