Plant Services Incorporated (PSI) is currently seeking candidates for an Experienced on stream leak sealing Technician I or II position
in both Billings, MT and El Dorado, KS.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in specialty repairs is a must. Must be versed in some or all of these skills: Hot Taps, on stream repairs such as drill and taps, or wire wraps, and experience in injecting leaks with sealant on-stream. This position requires the ability to understand basic math skills, read and interpret technical documents, read and understand procedures, perform all assigned duties and follow all safety procedures and requirements.
The position requires the candidate to be self-motivated, responsible, assertive, a problem solver, able to use a high degree of common sense.
The candidate must be able to work under direct supervision and must be able to execute given work assignments. The Technician is responsible for meeting or exceeding all company policies and procedures, state and federal laws regulations, and must have an unwavering commitment to environmental, safety and health for all employees and clients. In addition, the Technician must be able to work with other employees and our customers and have a good understanding of the assigned project.
The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, customer policies and an unwavering commitment to safety. The position requires handling all business affairs with the highest ethical standards set forth by PSI and its clients.
The candidate must have basic reading and writing skills and understand English verbally as well as in written form. He or she must be able to legibly write time sheets and complete log sheets to provide a clear picture of what happened, who was involved and what quantities and type of materials and equipment were used on all particular jobs and projects.
The candidate must be proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility and customer required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and ensure all direct reports are complying with all safety requirements. The candidate must be able to pass all site specific, facility, company and industry tests.
The candidate must have a current valid driver’s license from state of residency and valid proof of insurance. The candidate must be insurable by Plant Services Inc’s insurance provider. The candidate must have a valid TWIC card or, at minimum, be eligible to get a TWIC card, RSO or comparable refinery area training card. The candidate must be able to pass the company’s employee physical and comply with the company’s drug testing policy.
The candidate understands that he or she is working in a twenty four hour seven days a week (24/7) industry environment and as such understand they must be available on a 24/7 basis when required.
The candidate will work long hours on shifts up to and sometimes greater than 12 hours at a time. Additionally, be “on duty” while monitoring systems and safety meters.
The candidate will work initially with a mentor but upon completion of short service employee requirements, may work alone in the shop and in the field.
The candidate is required to learn and understand all procedures and instructions and should always ask questions if unsure of what to do.
