We had a great group of kids from Hawthorne Christian Academy visit us last week. They learned about our Workmanship Program and got to see all the construction taking place on our building.

We are always eager to get young kids excited about the trades and to see what it means to be servants in our communities!

Kids ages 10--14 are invited to join us this summer for Camp Craftsman! They'll be introduced to the basics of key trades like electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing, all through creative projects and fun competition. Learn more on our website: https://www.servantsheartnj.org/campcraftsman

This week has seen activity in every corner of our building in Paterson. Steel beams were delivered to build out the rooftop dining experience. A new entrance with framing and glass is being installed. Work continues on the elevator, the woodshop, the murals, ductwork and ventilation ... basically every aspect of our vocational trades spaces. It's been amazing! And noisy and dusty and all good things.

We've started interviewing candidates for next semester! If you or someone you know is interested in joining one of our Workmanship courses, NOW is the time to submit those applications!

IN PATERSON THIS FALL:
We will be teaching CPM (general construction including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and more); Welding, Woodworking, and Automotive.

IN HALEDON THIS FALL:
This is where our Tile Course meets. When you fill out the application, check "Paterson" as the location.

IN FRANKLIN THIS FALL:
Our Sussex County location will have CPM and Woodworking.

This is a FREE trades training and mentorship program! Get an introductory education with hands-on experience and personal attention from professionals who know what they're doing.

Courses offered Fall 2026:

➡ Woodworking -- in Franklin and Paterson
➡ Tile -- in Haledon (just 10 minutes from Paterson)

🚧PROJECT UPDATE!!🚧 A lot has been happening with The Great Falls Center!

We are working alongside Dawn Treader Christian School to convert this old silk factory into a vibrant, life-giving community center. We finally got the necessary permits last year and the project has been flying since! The latest updates: new driveways, elevator shaft, stairs, woodshop... 🎈CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADUATES!🎈
It’s our first ever graduation in Sussex County!! Over 100 people come out on Tuesday night to honor the 20 graduates from our CPM and Woodworking courses. The sheds they built were on display. It was a great semester and a great night!!
