Please do NOT do business with Armadillo Gun Store and Range, Nevada Texas.
Hello everyone,
I am embarrassed to post this today.
I really try to support business owners because I know that things happen and product is not always shipped as promised.
Let me tell you a story.
I was at a gun show in Mesquite, Texas on Saturday, July 14th.
My wife and I were just walking around to see the changes made to different fi****ms and enjoying speaking with the business owners there.
I talked with Jose Jimenez, Owner of Armadillo Gun Store and Range in Nevada, Texas.
He is a nice guy and we had a nice conversation. I asked about the scarcity of the RWB Magazine (100 rd dual drum) for the AR 15.
He said he could order one for me for the same price I saw on them a few months ago.
He took my order and I paid with my business credit card. He told me that I would receive my purchase within two business days (which was Tuesday, July 17th).
I felt really good about the purchase and My Jimenez seemed honest and helpful. I learned later that he is the owner of Armadillo Gun Store and Range.
I completely forgot about the purchase until Thursday (July 19th, 2017) and realized that I had not received the order.
I called and spoke with a nice employee who said Mr Jimenez was gone for the day and that the order had been placed and I should receive my order by Saturday (July 21st). I was told that the owner had left for the day.
Only Monday (July 23rd), I called at 4 PM and spoke with an employee. He told me to hold on and He would check my order, BUD.
I told him to not call me Bud. He put the phone down. The person who answered was Mr Jimenez.
He apologized for the order not being shipped as promised and said that it had been shipped today and would arrive by USP.
He also said that my order would arrive by tomorrow.
I told him that he had promised a delivery before and this was my second call to his store to learn it still had not been shipped.
I told him we are both business owners and that I understood when things don't go right, but do not lie to me.
He said the order would be delivered tomorrow.
I said if the order is not delivered tomorrow by 5 p.m., I would call and ask for my money back.
He said he was trying to work with me but I was not letting him.
I reminded him that he was the reason I had not received the order.
He then told me that my order had the shipping label on it but but had not been picked up by UPS.
I asked if the order was going to be delivered by tomorrow and he said he could not guarantee the delivery.
I had asked him to not lie to me, but apparently he did not understand. I am very reasonable until someone lies to me (especially if they lie twice within 5 minutes.)
I do tend to shy away from people who lie and do tend to recommend others to shy away from them also.
So, I told him to cancel my order and charge back my credit card.
Sorry this story is so long. I wanted to tell the story and hopefully, show the frustration I feel when dealing with people who think they can treat customers anyway they wish.
BY THE WAY, Mr Jimenez told me that he is at the store from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day. If that is true (don't believe much that he says now), then his employee lied to me the first time I called by telling me the owner had left for the day.
I recommend not doing business with this company. If an employee had done this, I would think the owner would correct that. But, how do you correct an issue when the owner does it?
BY NOT DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM...
I will not do business with this company or the owner, Jose Jimenez.
As far as I am concerned, this man gives other business owners a bad name.
If you do business with them and have good comments of them, please post them here.
I want as many comments (good and bad) on this post as possible.
