Attention H-2 Employers:
Obtaining Proof of H-2 Worker Departure from the U.S. can be an issue at times.

On September 1, 2026, USDHS announced improvements in the use of Biometrics at the Border. This is something we’re monitoring and will advise as we have information.

Feature Article: Biometrics at the Border—Making Exit Secure and Efficient September 1, 2026
The Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) recently brought industry partners to the Progreso International Bridge border crossing in Texas to demonstrate facial biometric capabilities for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The effort supports S&T’s priority to help secure U.S. borders by identifying, testing, and transitioning technologies that strengthen security while facilitating efficient lawful travel.

On December 10, 2025, we sent a notice via Constant Contact about the CPB Link Mobile App that CBP recommended that workers use to help verify their I-94 while they were still in customs and use the App to report their departure. https://conta.cc/4q55SYd

The information for employers to access the I-94 and the H-2 CBP Link Mobile app is included in each of the Appointment Wrap Up departure notices for both H-2A and H-2B Employers.
• The Border Crossing/Form I-94 is no longer printed and provided to workers at land crossings. Employers may access and print a copy, and Workers may request a new Form I94 if needed, from the CBP Website at: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/ #/home
• H-2 Workers departing the United States by land or private vessel can use the https://www.cbp.gov/about/mobile-apps-directory/cbplink to report their departure. Please note that departure should only be reported after they have physically left the United States. If they departed by air or sea, the departure was likely recorded automatically.

A Florida man survived a flesh-eating bacterial infection after spending 101 days in the hospital, including a month in intensive care, and five days in a coma. He said doctors came close to amputating his arms.

Andy Stough of Boynton Beach said his symptoms began after he cut his hands while landscaping near the Intracoastal Waterway in March. His work gloves also became soaked with rain. Over three days, his hands and arms came to look “like a big blood blister,” according to WPTV.
