The best discussions happen when people feel invited to contribute, not just expected to listen.

Jonathan brings valuable experience and will play a key role in making sure every client engagement runs smoothly from beginning to end.

According to Gallup, 80% of employees who receive meaningful feedback weekly are fully engaged. Yet only 1 in 5 employees receive feedback that frequently.

That gap matters because feedback builds confidence. Confidence changes behavior. Behavior improves performance. And strong performance supports retention.

We saw this recently while working with a fast-growing organization promoting leaders from within. Many of their new managers knew the business well, but had never managed people before.

Through BRODYpro’s Coach with Courage program, they practiced how to give feedback, ask better questions, coach through difficult conversations, and support performance with more intention.

One senior leader initially planned to observe but became fully engaged and left with actionable ideas for her own leadership.

It was great to see how this training is helping new managers transition effectively and enabling experienced leaders to strengthen the conversations that drive performance.

Is AI coming for communication experts?

Here is what we learned in one of our latest workshops:

During the session, healthcare providers used an AI coach while practicing short peer-to-peer presentations. The AI tracked filler words, repeated phrases, pacing, and conciseness.

That feedback was useful, but it only showed speakers what was happening.

The real value came when the BRODY facilitator helped them understand why it was happening, how it affected their message, and what to adjust next time.

For now, an AI coach can raise awareness, reveal patterns, and give speakers useful data. But turning that data into stronger delivery still takes human coaching.

A tiny language shift can change whether someone feels heard or challenged. For example:

“You’re right, but we also need to consider the guidelines.”

vs.

“You’re right, and the guidelines may give us a helpful frame.”

See what happened there?

The first sentence makes the agreement feel conditional.

The second builds on the point and adds value without creating friction.

In a recent workshop with a Medical Science Liaison team, we focused on the communication skills that shape stronger conversations with healthcare professionals:

✔️ Clear language that keeps dialogue open.
✔️ Better questions that move beyond the surface.
✔️ Credibility established early in the interaction.

These small shifts can change how a message is received.

They help MSL teams build trust, strengthen engagement, and create more meaningful HCP conversations.
