Plant Installation-Hawaiian Sun Draceana One of my favorite things about the plant industry is the community. Today, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a fellow plant business owner on a reinstallation.

I removed a declining palm and replaced it with a Hawaiian Sunshine Dracaena. This is beautiful choice for interiors because of its bold foliage, upright growth, and ability to add height and structure without overwhelming a space. Dracaenas are also loved for being adaptable and relatively low-maintenance indoors.

Plant Problem of the Week: Mealybugs on a Philodendron Pink Princess

This plant has held onto its pink variegation beautifully and is now nearly 10 feet long. I’m treating mealybugs on the delicate new growth with a gentle organic insecticide to protect those fragile pink leaves.

Next step: continued treatment and close monitoring until they’re completely under control.

Plant Maintenance Diaries: White Bird of Paradise
Today I replaced a White Bird of Paradise that was rapidly declining with discoloration that looked like spider mite damage.

For the replacement, I took the time to source a healthy plant, and repot it with fresh soil before bringing it into my client’s home.Healthy plants start with intentional care.

Plant Maintenance Diaries-More Jasmine

A beautiful refresh accompanied by an amazing aroma. My clients wanted the corner balcony replanted with something that could handle direct sun and water, so we chose Lake View Jasmine and Grand Duke of Tuscany Jasmine. Because who wouldn’t want to come home to the smell of jasmine?

I also reinstalled a couple of pothos and completed light routine maintenance throughout the property.

No windows? No problem. Live plants can still thrive in office spaces with the right routine and maintenance. And for spaces where live plants aren’t practical, preserved moss wall art offers a beautiful, low-maintenance way to bring greenery indoors—without using faux plants.

Plant Maintenance Diaries

Today’s mission: Save the Orchids!

Orchids are air plants, which means their roots need plenty of airflow. When they stay too wet for too long, the roots begin to rot, making it difficult for the plant to absorb water and nutrients.

Today, we gave this orchid a fresh reinstallation to help it recover and thrive again.
