As summer winds down and employees and families get back into their fall routines, it’s a good time for employers to take a fresh look at their workplace policies.

One recent development worth reviewing is the federal reclassification of certain medical ma*****na products from Schedule I to Schedule III. While this does not mean ma*****na is federally legalized or that employers must eliminate drug testing, it may be a good time to make sure your policies accurately reflect the current legal landscape.

And ma*****na policies are just one piece of the puzzle. Attendance, leave, workplace conduct, safety, technology, and other policies should also be reviewed regularly.
