🚨 Scam Alert: Protect Your Personal Information 🚨

Claverack REC & Revolution wants to remind all members to be vigilant when receiving unexpected phone calls asking for personal or financial information.

Recently, a member reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be from Claverack Electric in Wysox. The caller stated that the member had overpaid their electric bill by two months and was due a refund of $155. To process the refund, the caller requested the member's bank account information.

Fortunately, the member did not provide any financial information. However, the caller knew the member's name, address, and was familiar with Claverack, making the scam appear legitimate.

⚠️ Remember:
• Never provide bank account, credit card, Social Security, or other personal information to an unsolicited caller.
• Be cautious of anyone creating urgency or requesting sensitive information over the phone.
• If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from Claverack REC & Revolution, hang up immediately and contact us directly using the phone number listed on your bill or on our official website.

Your security is important to us. Please help protect yourself, your family, and your neighbors by staying alert and sharing this information with others.

In this video, Brennan Coates. Claverack REC & Revolution's Field Service Technician (shown on left in the opening video) is promoting his local volunteer fire department's Labor Day Celebration. As a Pike Township Supervisor and an active member of the fire department organization, he exemplifies a commitment to serving and strengthening the community he calls home.

His involvement reflects the Seventh Cooperative Principle, Concern for Community, which encourages cooperatives to work for the sustainable development and well-being of the communities they serve.

We are proud of employees like Brennan who invest their time, talents, and energy into making our local communities stronger. Their dedication reminds us that cooperation extends beyond the workplace and into the neighborhoods where we live, work, and connect with one another every day.
