🔥 Skip the Bin. Turn Batteries In!🔥

Batteries do NOT belong in your trash or recycling bin. Whether it's alkaline, lithium-ion, or even the small batteries from greeting cards, putting them in your bin can cause dangerous fires during transport and sorting.

Instead, bring ALL batteries to Greene County Environmental Services for safe recycling. Accept during all operating hours, no special events required.

Greene County's Tire Amnesty Collection is back!

Greene County residents can now register for tire drop-off events. Households and agriculture only. Businesses are not eligible to participate.

♻️ Oil-based paints, stains, varnishes, and spray paint – Only accepted during Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off. The next one takes place on May 19, 12:30 – 2:30 PM.
