Five days. Four nights. Endless backcountry adventure! 🏔️✈️

Last month TacAero led an unforgettable expedition into Idaho’s backcountry, bringing together pilots and companions for a week of flying, adventure, and camaraderie.

Mornings were spent exploring remote airstrips, mountain valleys, and river corridors alongside experienced TacAero instructors. Afternoons were filled with fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and relaxing, while evenings brought everyone together around the campfire.

A special highlight was having legendary Idaho backcountry pilot and author Dick Williams join the group to share his knowledge and stories from decades of flying in the region.

More than just a flying adventure, these expeditions are about building skills, making memories, and experiencing the incredible places our airplanes can take us.

A big thank you to and the Idaho Aviation Association for helping make adventures like this possible!

Last weekend at the Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach! 🤘✈️

Red Bull athletes Issa Kalfon () from England, flying the Jet Suit, and Luke Czepiela (.czepiela) from Poland, flying the Carbon Cub UL, coordinated this incredible flyby for the crowd along Huntington Beach.

Such a cool moment to see these two completely different forms of flight come together!

Already can’t wait for next year! 🔥

We had a chance to get some more media in the Carbon Cub ULT, and Paul Dye was the first to get behind the controls with the new 5 blade prop!

As a veteran aviation journalist, aerospace engineer, former NASA Lead Flight Director, and pilot with more than 6,000 hours in a wide variety of aircraft, Paul brings a unique perspective to evaluating new aircraft and aviation technology.

Paul Dye has flown just about everything, so we were especially excited to get him a chance to fly the Carbon Cub ULT. Thanks for coming out to Yakima and putting it through its paces, Paul!

If you fly enough different airplanes for enough years, eventually you will run across something completely different. I have been flying Cub variants since I was thirteen years old, but today I flew my first one with a turboprop engine on the nose! If two blades are good, and three are sexy….what can we say about a five-blade scimitar prop bolted onto a French turbine? This is CubCrafter’s new ULT model - the “T” stands for turbine, and I got to spend the day exploring its capability in and around Yakima (WA). A remarkably unique experience - smooth and capable. Now it’s time to have some FUN! 🇵🇱✈️

Earlier this summer, following delivery to its new owner, Zbigniew Dziubas (), this Carbon Cub UL made history with the first transatlantic crossing by a Carbon Cub. The journey took this powered aircraft from Idaho, USA all the way to Poland. 🇺🇸➡️🇵🇱

Now home in Poland, is having a blast with his Carbon Cub UL!

Built to last and enjoy for years!

This 2007 Sport Cub came to the rescue at a moose camp in Alaska, helping fly gear out after the hunters successfully got a moose and were stranded by weather for two days.

Almost 20 years old and still going strong! Factory-built Experimental E-LSA, Serial No. 7, with a Ly-Con O-200, 3” extended gear, 31” Bushwheels, and an empty weight of less than 900 lbs.

Nearly two decades later, and still ready for adventure!
