Yakima Valley Museum had its 75th birthday this weekend. Hundreds of families enjoyed the exhibits, got their face painted and enjoyed some food and games. It was a great time for all who attended. Thanks again to the the staff and volunteers at the Museum.

💛 Forecast calls for golden rain from the ginkgo trees soon 💛
Each fall, the ginkgoes (Ginkgo biloba) reminds us why it’s still one of nature’s masterpieces. Its fan-shaped leaves transform into a sea of gold before gently carpeting the ground in a single, magical moment.

While our ginkgoes aren't there quite yet, depending on how mild the weather is, we may have a couple of weeks to enjoy their golden transformation. Once they really turn golden, the next big rain or wind storm will likely be the moment they shed their leaves for the year.

Catch this fleeting beauty while it lasts at the Yakima Area Arboretum! 🍂🌿
