Wildfires can happen quickly, so make sure you're prepared ahead of time to be able to leave quickly should conditions dictate. To help you prepare, remember these three steps:
(Before a wildfire)
๐Prepare an emergency kit
Plan two evacuation routes and meeting points
Stay informed. Sign up for Yamhill County Emergency Alerts at https://member.everbridge.net/index/892807736727638 #/signup
(Wildfire in the area)
Keep car fueled
Stay informed via radio or official alerts. Oregon State Fire Marshal's incident blog: https://osfminfo.org/
โณConditions change rapidly. Leave if you feel unsafe.
Leave without delay. It is unsafe to stay.
โ Do you stop to gather belongings or protect your home.
Do not return until officials announce the area is safe.
Preparation is key. Stay safe, stay informed and be ready to act when necessary. Law enforcement agencies order evacuations but if you donโt feel safe, ๐ฎ๐ค๐ช ๐๐ค๐ฃโ๐ฉ ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ง ๐๐ฃ ๐ค๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ช๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐ค๐ง๐๐๐ง.
