Today my father would be 124 years old. His mother was 32 when he was born. So my grandmother would be 156 years old. She was born in 1868…….. not so long ago….
I remember my father telling me that when he was a kid, civil war veterans told him about the war, and one of them told him about being captured, and being put in Camp Sumter Prison “down south “.
A mere 250 years before that, In 1616 Galileo was convicted of heresy for saying he thought the earth revolves around the sun.
Not so long ago really.

Idea for making an existing 2nd floor bedroom and attic space into a library/study/ reading room. No exterior renovations would be needed. Even the cupola is already there.
