If you’ve been following NASA’s Artemis II, you’re looking at a miracle of minerals. This 10-day mission sent four astronauts around the Moon and back—the first time humans have left Earth's orbit in over 50 years. 🚀
But did you know the road to the Moon is paved with copper? The rocket’s four main engines have to survive temperatures hotter than a volcano. To keep them from melting, engineers use copper alloys to line the inside of the engines.
It’s a great reminder that our future in the stars starts with the minerals we mine right here on Earth. 🌍
