This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

For our Local 628 family, that remembrance carries special meaning as we also honor those who served both their nation and the City of Yonkers, first in uniform and later as firefighters.

Today is not about celebration, but remembrance, gratitude, and honoring those who gave everything for the freedoms we hold today. We are forever indebted to their sacrifice and will never forget their courage, service, and legacy.

Happy Mother’s Day from Local 628!

Today we celebrate all the moms in the Local 628 family, the ones who hold everything together while our members are away working long hours, missing holidays, events, dinners, and time at home. The moms who always show up for their families, carry more than anyone sees, and make countless sacrifices behind the scenes every single day. We appreciate everything you give, not only to your families, but to all of us. THANK YOU!

And to all the moms out there, today is for you too. Wishing you all a Happy Mother’s Day and hope you enjoy the day with your families.
