20 Years Ago: Application of VaporRemed at a Residential Spill in Virginia
Laboratory analysis of soil samples showed high values of TPH/DRO showing an initial value of 18,800 and 8,300 ppm and the samples of soil analyzed after treatment with VaporRemed showed a value of 290 ppm and 210 ppm. Both these values are below the stipulated 500 ppm of TPH/DRO. After flushing with the product, the TPH in the drain water showed values below the detection levels. The project was recommended for closure as No Further Action was required. (VDEQ Pollution Complaint No. PC 2003-3187 Corrective Plan)

Waste Asphalt Shingles are a great source of fuel oil. Both the shingles a strip or in a ground powdered form, low sulfur # 4 fuel oil is generated more than 20 times the weight of shingles. In fact, after the shingles are processed using our technology, only the fiberglass base remains as seen in pictures below and you can even note the volume of oil produced. The fuel oil from shingles may help maritime agencies. The inorganic granules used for the outside of the roof remain clean as seen below. In ground, powdered form also, similar amount of fuel oil is produced. The potential is very high in generating revenue from waste shingles.
