Some vacations are more than a getaway. They become part of a family’s story. 🌊

Erin Doutrich grew up visiting the Outer Banks, where her family once owned a house called “A Little Bit of Heaven.” Although the house was sold after her mother passed away, Erin’s connection to this special place never disappeared. Today, she and Dan return with Jack and Evelyn to continue the tradition. 🏖️

This year brought dolphins beside Dan’s paddleboard, a visit to Oregon Inlet for aspiring fisherman Jack, river otters and a sea turtle hospital for Evelyn, and a manta ray that repeatedly breached right outside their beach house. 🐬

Those unexpected moments made an already meaningful family tradition even more memorable. ✨

After a 43-year career as an oncology nurse and cancer center administrator, Wyndham Hills resident Wendy Austin found another meaningful way to honor the profession she loves. 🌹

Wendy discovered the York County White Rose Nurse Honor Guard after sitting beside a fellow Registered Nurse at a performance of Hadestown. Intrigued by the organization’s mission, she looked it up as soon as she returned home. Today, Wendy serves as its Vice President. 🕯️

The volunteer organization honors nurses near the end of life or after their passing with a moving tribute inspired by Florence Nightingale. Its vision is for nurses everywhere to be “seen, heard, known, respected, appreciated, and honored” for the gifts they offer throughout their lives. 🤍

Have you experienced The Original Men In The Kitchen yet? Our Stroll Wyndham Hills community recently got a special taste of this Downtown York destination. 🔥

Guests sampled signature creations including fried ravioli and Angus meatballs while learning more about Chef Kyle Moore’s passion for creating elevated comfort food influenced by Cajun American cuisine and diverse cultural flavors. 😋

The best part was seeing residents and Business Partners connect around the table, proving once again that great food has a special way of bringing people together. 🤝

Resident contributor Erin Doutrich enjoyed the refreshing Greenhouse Gimlet, Southern BBQ Shrimp with house-made buttermilk biscuits, and a fresh Burrata and Tomato Salad. 🍸

For the entrée, Erin and her husband shared Bloom’s creative deconstructed cheesesteak, featuring a 14-ounce Black Angus prime ribeye with all the fixings. A rich caramel cheesecake made the perfect finish. 🥩

With creative dishes, a welcoming atmosphere, and memorable hospitality, Bloom is one to add to your list. 😋

There’s nothing quite like celebrating the Fourth of July in Washington, D.C.! 🎆

A group of local neighbors recently traveled to the nation’s capital and captured two memorable moments from the exact same spot, one before the evening festivities began and another as the opening fireworks illuminated the night sky. 📸

It was a beautiful reminder of what summer travel is all about, shared traditions, great company, and memories worth bringing home. 🏡

There’s something pretty special about being in a room with people who don’t just do business in York County, they make York County better. Add birthday cake and I’m sold. 🎂

Yesterday I had the honor of presenting at the Southern York County Business Association (SYCBA) at Country Meadows Senior Care, alongside my good friend Julienne Nerger of Club Encourage Gifts.

Our topic was 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 & 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀, which is pretty fitting for what I do every day with Stroll Wyndham Hills.

One of the things I love most about Stroll is that it’s not just a magazine. It’s the people behind the pages, the residents who share their stories, the businesses that invest in and support the community, and the connections that happen when those two groups come together.

That’s what makes this community so special. And honestly, it’s what makes Stroll Wyndham Hills so much fun to be part of.

As President of SYCBA, I get to spend time with some of the best business owners in York County, people who don’t just run businesses, but show up, give back, support each other and care about the communities they serve.

They get that relationships aren’t just good for business.

They’re good for everyone.

And then there was the birthday cake. 🎂

A HUGE thank you to Country Meadows for hosting us and surprising me with the sweetest birthday treat!

Good people... good conversations... a little networking... and a lot of community.
