I received my AFTE Distinguished membership certificated this week and will receive a plaque in Austin TX at the annual conference. This was a goal I set for myself in Jan. 2020, a sweet achievement.

Happy Mystery Part Monday! This part from the Cody Fi****ms Museum represents more than just an advancement in fi****ms technology. The novel nature of the part and its production has led to its creator being often credited as one of the foundations of the American Industrial Revolution. By focusing on making parts uniform and interchangeable, rather than relying on hand fitting, he sought to drastically reduce production time. The US Army took enough interest to adopt the firearm and several of its variants as its first breechloading rifle.
