Fall/Autumn what a wonderful time of year…cool sunny days and long walks kicking up leaves in the woods. This quilt makes us feel and hear the leaves under our feet, right? Heidi made this quilt ever so quickly to celebrate the fabrics and the season, we used “Loops and Pumpkins” as the quilting design.

Some call him Sasquatch, Istiyehe, Yeti, or Big Foot. He teaches us to care for the land by walking lightly and leaving no trace. This is the third “Sasquatch” quilt we’ve quilted, and it always reminds me of the spirit that protects us and that our actions have a ripple effect across the globe.

I’m not sure if Karen made this quilt specifically for this reason, but as the longarm quilter, we wanted to make sure “Sasquatch” had its own unique design. We wanted to be sure there’s something within this quilt that’s unknown but also inherently good and hopeful! Thank you, Karen for trusting us with your quilt.

Jeanette said I could use the spider web block within the “Whitney Pearls 2 (no pearls)”…sew picked a block without a fabric/block design and used “masking” to incorporate the design. Can you find the stitched web??

This quilt was a king size done with 1” squares definitely a labor of love from Kathy!

We used “Impulse” from My Creative Stitches which is a favorite lately for a quite a few quilts because it’s versatile and add wonderful texture without being overwhelming!
