You've already sprung forward - why not wake up just a little earlier for this important conversation?

Tomorrow morning, Ted Evgeniadis, Executive Director of Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association, will join us for Carbon Neutral Coffee in downtown York.

LSRA has been a lead responder to the 10,000-gallon oil spill caused by the fire at J&K Salvage.

They've been been collecting water samples from the affected Codorus Creek and Susquehanna, tracking pollutants, calling on agencies to take action, conducting site inspections, and more.

At tomorrow's CNC meetup, Ted will discuss their response efforts, his critical role as Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper, and how LSRA fights for healthy waterways and, therefore, healthy communities.

Join us at The Grotto! Doors open at 7:45am and we'll begin around 8am.

Who's coming to The Grotto tomorrow morning for Carbon Neutral Coffee York?? We'll gather at about 7:45am for coffee, pastries, and conversation on sustainable business practices.

This April, Director of the York County Planning Commission, Mike Pritchard, will talk about how the organization addresses sustainability in their work in open space and land preservation, growth management, land development, transportation choices, and housing.

🌲 About Luca:
Luca Pandolfi is the Founder and CEO of Woodland BIO, a Pennsylvania-based company creating circular, local supply chains for carbon-neutral, drop-in transportation fuels. Luca developed the concept during an independent study at Ithaca College, where it evolved into a first-place business plan in the 2013 Ithaca College Business Idea Competition.

He later built operating experience across startups in marketing and business development before returning to commercialize Woodland BIO. Under his leadership, the company has advanced a first-of-its-kind facility in Tioga County, PA, secured bipartisan support and industry partnerships, and progressed through front-end engineering toward deployment.

We all know that buying food from your local farm is more planet-friendly than the grocery store. The associated transportation emissions are far lower, smaller farms tend to adopt more regenerative practices, and you're supporting your local economy.

Just as producing food on local farms is more sustainable 🍎, so is producing energy through local, circular supply chains. That's what Woodland BIO is doing in Pennsylvania.

Woodland BIO's vision is to build local, circular supply chains that strengthen rural economies, support sustainable forest management, and advance a practical, hybrid pathway to decarbonizing transportation. 🌲

Currently, the company is building a facility in Tioga County, PA to convert low-grade, woody biomass into road-spec gasoline, biochar, and renewable electricity, enabling immediate emissions reductions while leveraging existing vehicles and infrastructure.

We’re excited to welcome Horn Farm Center for a conversation on aligning ecological recovery and growing food, whether that’s at a farm, your backyard, or a community garden. 🍎

🌳 Though less than 2% of US farms engage in agroforestry, transitioning to trees and perennial growing systems presents promising solutions for addressing some of our most pressing environmental issues.

With crops like live stakes, basketry willows, American hazelnuts, and elderberries, the Horn Farm Center in York, PA is exploring these solutions on the ground. 🌱
