Controversial take: There are no real problems in the world today.

The world, nature, humanity, all of it turns out exactly as it should. Exactly as God planned. Exactly as nature has intended. There is no escaping that.

So any of you who have "problems" with how the world is, are creating those problems in your own head. Change your point of view and watch the problems begin to fade.

The world was never meant to be without conflict or bad things happening. That’s not how it works. This world cannot exist without conflict. So when you have a “problem,” it’s a point of view stating you are AGAINST the way things are.

Your “problems” are actually just the judgments you make about situations, things, and people. When you judge something as “bad,” its mere existence becomes a problem for you.

I expect bad things to exist in the world. Dangerous, awful, terrible things - I expect them. We’ve seen inhumane atrocities and wars. But I also expect glory. I expect moments where God and the universe shine through in ways that leave you speechless with their beauty. I expect all of it. It's the way God intended, or the way nature is naturally unfolding. Why resist the way things already are?

So when I encounter people who live wildly different lives than I do, whose viewpoints don’t align with mine, I have no problem with it. I expect people to be different. When that shows itself, I have no qualms with it.

Your restrictive judgments of how the world or people “should be” are the source of all your so-called problems.

Don’t wait for the “perfect moment” to start. Create your own moment—right now.

We often wait for everything to align perfectly before we take that leap—whether it’s believing in ourselves, starting a business, or going after a dream. But here’s the truth: that moment will never come.

The perfect conditions, the ideal timing—they’re myths. If you’re waiting for everything to be just right, you’ll never make a move. The reality is, the right time is now. Right here, in the present, with all its uncertainties and imperfections.

Cast aside the self-doubt and fear. Those things will always be there, but they don’t need to control you. The actions you take, no matter how imperfect they seem, are exactly what you need. Trust that every step is perfectly aligned with your journey, even when the path isn’t clear.

20 years ago, I was making different choices and getting different outcomes. Outcomes I didn’t enjoy. But at the root of my decisions was a belief that I wasn’t good enough. Somehow, I got that idea in my head, and it was holding me back from the life I wanted.

That’s when I discovered affirmations. Slowly but surely, over time, my affirmations began to change the way I acted in the world. With new behaviors came new outcomes—outcomes that were much more in line with the life I desired.

But it all started with changing my inner dialogue. What holds us back isn’t always a lack of talent or ability; it’s almost always our mindset. If you want to change your life, start by changing your behavior. And the way to change behavior is through repetition of affirmations. Write them over and over—whenever you can, as often as you can.

This repetition will change you. And it will change the world around you. It’s pretty magical.

20 years later, at 42, I can honestly say I’ve never been happier, healthier, or more loved. I unlock new sources of love every day, and every moment of my life feels rich and fulfilling. I am so grateful for this life.

Attached is a photo of a journal page from when I first started doing affirmations. You’ll see that my most basic feeling was that I didn’t accept myself. I didn’t like myself, but I really wanted to. So I wrote “I approve of myself” over and over, page after page, day after day. And one day, I found myself in love with who I am.

I recommend doing affirmations from a place of real-life experience—I didn’t like my life. I took action using affirmations to reshape my inner dialogue, and it's made all the difference.

You can get a lot done in a year. Or you can let it slip away. ⏳

This week, Jess and I planned out our entire year. 📅✨

We printed one page for each month and laid all 12 months in front of us.

We added family events, school events, and as many other things as we could think of that are "must-do’s" in life or things that need some planning behind them (like our anniversary 💍, kids' birthdays 🎉, and holidays 🎄).

Next, we asked ourselves, "What do we want to accomplish this year?" 🤔

We made a big list that included financial goals 💰, health goals 🏋️‍♂️, home renovations 🏡, business goals 📈, and anything else we could think of.

We looked at the list and excluded anything that we couldn’t see ourselves accomplishing in the next 5 years. With the remaining items, we asked ourselves, “What do we want to make happen this year?” and “What things are still 2-3 years out?” 🗓️

We planned out a bomb-ass year. 💥 This practice is great for couples, but it’s great for individuals, too. 💯

DO NOT HOPE YOU WILL HAVE A BOMB-ASS YEAR. 🔥 Plan your bomb-ass year, design it with pen and paper ✍️, and create it so you can bring it to life. 🌟

This practice will help you see how realistic your dreams actually are. 🌈

Here are a few ways you can learn to improve your life by acting with consistency:

1) Plan time to plan - this is the #1 thing that gets in peoples way!

2) Get serious about your own self-care, and ensure its part of your routine.

3) Say "no" a lot more often. Most things that jump on your lap, are not as important as the stuff you've planned to do.
