Over the past two days, Shaun Petersen represented Buckeye Risk Services on Capitol Hill at the 2026 NIADA National Policy Conference.

Shaun had the opportunity to meet with and hear from members of Ohio’s congressional delegation, including Senator Bernie Moreno, Senator Jon Husted, and Congressman Mike Rulli, while participating alongside the Ohio delegation.

This conference is specifically designed to bring dealers and industry partners face-to-face with federal policymakers and regulators…and we’re proud to support NIADA’s advocacy efforts and to have Buckeye represented in Washington as our industry works to ensure the independent dealer voice is heard.

Thank you to NIADA, the Ohio Independent Automobile Dealers delegation, and our elected leaders for the conversations, access, and opportunity to engage.

Buckeye Risk Services is proud to support NIADA’s advocacy efforts and to have Shaun Petersen in the room and on Capitol Hill alongside dealers, legislators and industry leaders as these important conversations take place next week at the NIADA National Policy Conference 2026 in Washington, D.C.
The National Policy Conference creates an opportunity for the independent dealer community to meet face-to-face with members of Congress, regulators and policymakers to discuss the legislative and regulatory issues affecting dealerships across the country, and it is a strong belief at Buckeye to show up, stay engaged and support the organizations working to strengthen the independent dealer industry.
