The BBB’s mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. The BBB accomplishes this mission by:

* Creating a community of trustworthy businesses
* Setting standards for marketplace trust
* Encouraging and supporting best practices
* Celebrating marketplace role models, and;
* Denouncing substandard marketplace behavior

The BBB sees trust as a function of two primary factors – integri

ty and performance. Performance speaks to a business’s track record of delivering results in accordance with BBB standards and/or addressing customer concerns in a timely, satisfactory manner. The BBB ensures that high standards for trust are set and maintained. We exist so consumers and businesses alike have an unbiased source to guide them on matters of trust. We provide educational information and expert advice that is free of charge and easily accessible. BBB Accreditation is an honor – and not every company is eligible. Businesses that meet our high standards are invited to join the BBB. Businesses meeting BBB standards are presented to the Boards of Directors for review and acceptance as a BBB Accredited Business.

Last but certainly not least...

Congratulations to Sweet Memories Vintage Tees on being a winner of the 2026 Torch Award for Marketplace Trust!

In 2008 the screen printing company was born, eventually securing a one-year licensing agreement with Unilever to create a Good Humor t-shirt line in 2020. Ultimately resulting in the business expanding its portfolio with licensing agreements for iconic brands including Dum-Dums, Sweethearts, Necco, and many others.

In 2023, the company opened its retail storefront with the vision of creating more than just a t-shirt shop.

Most recently, the company launched the Golden Age Vintage Market, inspired by the Golden Age Beverages brand and focused on supporting small, local businesses. The concept evolved into what Linda describes as a “small business retail incubator,” creating opportunities for local businesses to showcase their products in a shared retail environment.

It's time to congratulate another one of our Torch Award winners.

Congratulations to Raphael's School of Beauty Culture on being a winner of the 2026 Torch Award for Marketplace Trust!

Raphael’s School of Beauty Culture was established in 1958 under the original name McKinley Heights College of Cosmetology. The school was later purchased by Jacquilyn Eusanio, beginning a family legacy that continues today. In 1996, Jacquilyn’s son, Ralph P. Delserone III, joined the business and eventually purchased the school in 2006, carrying its legacy into a third generation of involvement.

Since its founding, Raphael’s has expanded to six locations throughout Ohio, offering a range of programs such as cosmetology, advanced esthetics, advanced manicurist training, barbering, massage therapy, and instructor education.

Congratulations to the Board of Directors for the Canfield Fair on winning the 2026 Torch Award for Civic Leadership!

The Canfield Fair was founded in 1846 and the event started as an "agricultural exposition" on the Canfield Village Green. In 1851 it moved locations and has been held there since. Today, the Canfield Fair spans 175 acres of fenced in grounds and welcomes nearly 300,000 visitors each year.

Success on this scale would not be possible without the dedication and leadership behind the scenes. The 17-member Canfield Fair Board of Directors dedicates countless hours behind the scenes to make the Canfield Fair a success. Their commitment goes far beyond the fairgrounds—helping to strengthen and support our entire community all year long.
