What started with a few kitchen batches in the fall of 2022 has taken us a long way.
Years of refining recipes, testing batches, learning about pH and shelf stability, improving our process, FDA/ODA licensing and figuring out what it takes to turn a recipe into a product we’re proud to put our name on.
And now, we’re finally ready to share it.
Foundry Fire Hot Sauce.
Born in the Ohio Valley and built around the place we call home.
Our Line Up:
THE FOUNDRY RED
Our staple sauce — a tribute to the fires that forged the Ohio Valley. Built around cayenne peppers, garlic, and plenty of flavor, it’s a nod to the furnaces, foundries, and mills that powered the valley and helped build the communities around them.
YOUNGSTOWN GOLD
A Hungarian pepper-based sauce inspired by the peppers you’ll find at any Italian dinner table and the heritage and traditions that shaped Youngstown’s identity.
GREEN RIVER
A jalapeño-based sauce named for the Mahoning River — a river deeply connected to the industry, history, and communities of the valley.
It started as a hobby, trying new recipes, and sharing them with friends and family. Almost four years later, that hobby has grown into something real, and there’s something pretty fitting about seeing our first three sauces ready to sell right here in the place it all started—our hometown.
We also owe a huge thank you to Delirium Pickling LLC, the amazing shared kitchen space and support they have provided got us across that finish line and we couldn’t be more grateful.
