The 2018 vintage reds were bottled a few weeks ago. The 2018 growing season was seamless for the State Lane Vineyard. We had plenty of rainfall that winter followed by a mild summer with no extended heat spikes. These ideal conditions allowed the phenolics of our fruit to outpace the sugar load, allowing us to craft wines with purity, depth and density.
Our wines are bottled on the family estate, and are produced from 100% estate fruit. Grown, aged, produced and bottled all in one place. We can't wait to share these wines with you. 🥂

Dear Friends,

We are overjoyed to welcome our members back to the family estate for tastings after being closed for the past 3 months. Join us for a VIP experience that includes a tour of the winery, an up-close look at the vineyard, and a seated one-on-one tasting. All tastings are completely private and will be enjoyed on the patio overlooking the vines, or indoors surrounded by Hungarian artifacts.

Our 2010 CABERNET SAUVIGNON - GRAND VIN first received a "perfect" 100-point score from Antonio Galloni's Vinous in November 2013. We have just received word that in Vinous' recent Vintage Retrospective: The Great 2010 Napa Valley Cabernets, wine critic Stephen Tanzer awarded this wine 98 points and a #1 spot (tied with Harlan Estate & Blankiet Estate) after tasting over one hundred Napa Valley Cabernets.

This is a testament that our wines will stand the test of time, and we will continue to strive for perfection. When you acquire a Kapcsándy wine, you can trust that it rivals the best in the world.

Happy Monday! We are really enjoying springtime at the Estate and taking more walks than usual. Everywhere we look we see beauty. The roses are in full bloom, the birds are chirping, the air is clean, and the vines are happy.

There has been exactly two weeks time between photo #1 & photo #2. It's amazing how rapidly the shoots grow after budbreak when they are in perfect conditions. The vines have been very happy with highs in the mid to low 80s and nice cool nights.

We are proud to use sustainable practices in both our vineyard and winery. Our winery and offices are 100% SOLAR-POWERED, and the excess electricity we produce is returned back to the electrical grid.
We also use nesting boxes, perch poles and songbird houses throughout the vineyard to attract birds of prey - a natural form of pest control.
