Two full years of living within inches of each other, visiting foreign places on our floating home, riding out storms, watching boats wreck, catching monster fish, and fabricating bigger and bigger stories. Fernandina, Florida. We sailed out of here 300nm to Wrightsville beach. It took us 50 hours. Gusts up to 37 knots. Stella Maris was salty, but completely in her element. These Cabo Rico’s are truly fascinating boats to sail in heavy weather. The way she handles seas and wind with shortened sail will keep you wondering what her true limits are. Far more than the crew I am sure. Grateful for this vessel we call a home. I feel extremely fortunate to own and Captian this classic beauty.
