The ones who get this right figure out something simpler: what your clients actually need isn't more services from you. It's better coordination across the specialists they already have - or should have.

More offerings. More training. More scope. More overhead.

It's a reasonable assumption. It's also the wrong move for most firms.

The practices that successfully make the shift don't add more. They partner strategically - staying in their lane, bringing in specialists who already have what they need, and coordinating the whole thing so clients get better outcomes without the CPA taking on more liability.
