Sometimes it’s not always about the money. Sometimes it’s about professionalism and integrity.

I went out to a home to give a quote for a deep cleaning. The client specifically wanted me to focus on the master bathroom. Like many homes in our area, there were mineral deposits on the tile and glass.

As I stepped into the shower, I noticed cracks in the grout and pieces of grout already falling onto the shower floor. The client asked if I could just work around the issue, but I immediately explained that cleaning it could cause even more damage and potentially loosen the tile from the wall.

I made the decision not to take the job and recommended that a contractor inspect the bathroom before any cleaning was done.

The contractor later confirmed that the wall needed extensive repairs, and the bathroom is now being repaired properly. The client still keeps me updated throughout the process.

The moral of the story: you have to get the right people in your home. Hire people with morals, professionalism, and integrity. The wrong person could have ignored the warning signs and made the problem much worse.
