Summer Safety Reminder: Stay Hydrated! âď¸đ§
As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heat-related illnesses. According to OSHA regulations, employers must provide access to potable drinking water and ensure that workers exposed to heat have adequate opportunities to hydrate frequentlyâideally, one cup (8 oz.) of water every 15â20 minutes.
Whether youâre working outdoors or inside a hot environment, drink water often, take scheduled breaks, and watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
Your safety starts with staying hydrated. Donât wait until youâre thirstyâdrink water throughout the day!
