Friends, AI can't do everything in your business.
Or, better said, it shouldn't do everything in your biz.
Now don’t get me wrong… I like AI, and I use it in my biz too. But when it comes to actually supporting a business the way it deserves to be supported, in my opinion there are some things that still require a real human.
So today I thought it would be fun to share a list of 5 things I do for my clients that AI simply can't:
1. Speak up when something doesn't look right, even when you didn't ask me to. AI doesn’t have critical thinking skills, and IMO, people rely on it’s feedback wayyyy too much for important decisions and questions.
2. Know your voice well enough to communicate on your behalf, without you having to rewrite everything I send or review it. I amvery strongly believe that AI written content is very detectable, and things just land differently when written by a human. I think your audience can feel the difference, too.
3. Build genuine relationships with your clients through personal follow-up. Trust me when I say your clients want to hear from your assistant, not a virtual bot.
4. Anticipate what's coming before you even realize it's coming. Yes, maybe AI can you give you some prompts, but they do not know about your dentist appointment that just popped up, or that your kid has all of a sudden come down with a cold, or that your schedule is all of a sudden wonky and things need to be adjusted ASAP. I know these things, and I can help you plan and adjust accordingly.
5. Actually care about how it things turn out. AI gives that weird positive reinforcement, but it doesn’t really care how things go for you or if you actually have wins in your business. I do.
Short story long (lol), there's a difference between a tool that executes and a person who's invested in your business. I'm the latter, and I love working with founders who are using AI smartly in their business, but understand it’s not a replacement for the executive assistance they truly need.
