When Upper Arlington Lutheran Church faced serious issues with their aging underground HVAC duct system, they turned to Flow-Liner® for a solution. Years of deterioration and groundwater infiltration were impacting performance and indoor air quality—but excavation wasn’t the answer.

ECU identified an issue with an 8” PVC chiller line after noticing a persistently wet area above two 8” lines. Further investigation revealed a crack in one of the pipes. With the line located in a sensitive campus area, excavation would have been disruptive and costly. The university needed a trenchless rehabilitation solution that would restore the pipe’s integrity quickly while minimizing impact to students, staff, and surrounding facilities.

A Flow-Liner Certified Installer rehabilitated 112 feet of 8” PVC pipe, including two 45-degree bends, using a Flow-Liner custom laminate-liner and ambient-cured system.
The entire rehabilitation was completed in just two and a half days, allowing the university to address the issue quickly without extended disruption.

Pinnacle Project: Naval Station Norfolk 🇺🇸⚓

At the world’s largest naval station, severely congested underground electrical conduits were preventing new wiring from being pulled. A Flow-Liner® Certified Installer delivered a trenchless solution—cleaning and rehabilitating 3,000 feet of conduit using Flow-Liner’s CIP-Conduit® inversion lining method.

The project was completed without excavation, minimizing disruption while restoring critical electrical infrastructure. Both the General Contractor and Naval Station Norfolk were highly satisfied with the results.

Pinnacle Project Series: NYC Water Tunnel No. 3 💧
A Certified Flow-Liner Installer joined forces with the legendary NYC Sandhogs on one of the most ambitious underground projects in U.S. history — Water Tunnel No. 3.
Using Flow-Liner’s Winch-In-Place-Pipe (WIPP) system with Primus Line® technology, the team rehabilitated a deep vertical access pipe hundreds of feet below the city—without excavation. Our Flow-Liner Certified Installer team completed a rehabilitation project at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, where OG&E needed to restore a series of aging underground conduits containing Orangeburg. Using the Flow-Liner CIP-Conduit System, the team cleaned and lined the existing conduits from the inside—renewing their structure without excavation or disruption to base operations.
